Jennifer Lawson is a well known Canadian artist recognized for her beautiful watercolours. For over 35 years, Jennifer has been mixing pure colours with clear water to capture her intimate vision of a world of softened light. Born in Yorkshire, Jennifer has travelled extensively - possessing an Arts degree from both the University of Guelph and Georgian College. Her sense of colour is informed by memories of the warm tangle of English country gardens and the intricate patterns of Indian textiles. Jennifer's paintings are in private and corporate collections world-wide. One of Jennifer's specialties is commissioned paintings. Every subject from homes, gardens and business to pets and portraits are rendered invaluable - becoming both priceless promotions and treasured heirlooms.
Jennifer opened The Log House Gallery in 2003, overlooking Cowichan Bay. The Gallery, nestled between the sea and the majestic Mt. Tzouhalem, is the oldest house in the Cowichan Valley. Situated amongst historic churches, on the river and beside the estuary (a wildlife sanctuary). It is a wonderful picnic destination. Painter Jennifer Lawson has filled her country gallery with pastoral charm and created a blossoming oasis of colour. Visitors are always delighted by it.
